Win32:Trojan-gen.{UPX!}

I’m a newbie to avast! and upon running the scan for the first time, came up with this. Haven’t seen it posted here yet and am wondering if anyone knows what this is? Looks like it’s been here at least since Feb.13,2003. XPH SP1. TIA.

Which file does Avast identifie as troj-Gen and where(in which folder) is it located? To get a Name of the Malware you can identify it using this link: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

Maybe than we are able to give you more help/info.

Anyway, could you please send us the file ? E.g. to support@avast.com .

Thanks!
Vlk

Sorry, I have already deleted the file. It appears that it was in a Temp folder so I assumed it was safe to delete. Will run avast! again. If I find another, you can have it. :-X

Thanks. No problem, we can live without it, I just wanted to make sure it’s not a false alarm. :wink:

Have a nice Sunday,

avast! just informed me again that I have the same Trojan again. This has got to be a false positive. How do I go about sending it in?

Just send it via e-mail. As an attachment.
E.g. to support@avast.com, or divis@avast.com

This little baby is tucked away in my virus chest. How the H*ll do I get it out to send to you?
