Win32:Trojan-gen when compiling Delphi7 code?

Hi, I’m trying to write a program for my computing course but when I try to compile / run my code it appears as a trojan to avast and it gets moved immeditaely to the chest.

The code simply allows an onscreen button to be moved around the programs form, but changing one or two lines such as the click style for moving the button actually removes the trojan.
The only problem with this is that if I change the code for the program to work, it won’t work how I need it to :frowning:

I’ve read various forums saying that my code could match the pattern of a trojan when converted into binary, and I’ve tried adding Delphi32.exe to my exclusions lists, but the error still shows.

I’m wondering if anyone could help me out with my problem as I really need to get this sorted! :frowning:

Thanks,

Cwebster.

have you tested your file at www.virustotal.com

you can report false positive here http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?
you may add a link to this topic in case they want to reply here…

Thanks for your reply, but the problem is as the program compiles my code to create the executable file (.exe) the new .exe file is moved directly to the chest,
so unless there is a way of fetching the file from the chest, I cant upload it onto the website for it to be scanned

Is there a way to get the file from the chest to upload it?

Thanks again,

Cwebster.
