Today my new avast program, which I downloaded a couple of days ago caught Virus/Worm from my DriveHealth progarm, now it doesn’t work. I downloaded the program from here… www.drivehealth.com last year…
This is probably a false positive
Please send the file in password protected archive to virus@avast.com , and as mail subject write “False Positive”
Meanwhile, till the false positive is fixed, you can add the wrong detected file to the exclusion list of avast! - avast! Program Settings → Exclusion List → Add
Also just for sure you can upload the file to VirusTotal.com to see if only avast! detects the file as virus
To be able to upload suspect files to VirusTotal, etc. you can’t do this with the file in the chest, you will need to move it out.
If it is a false positive detection, more importantly add it to the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced and Program Settings, Exclusions, the resident scanner as well as the Program Settings, Exclusions as this only covers on-demand scans.
Periodically check it (scan it in the chest), there should still be a copy in the chest even though you restored it to the original location. When it is no longer detected then you can also remove it from the Standard Shield and Program Settings, exclusions.
