Please help me. I just got a message on avast that I have this virus in c:\windows\system\rshrjy.exe. I am computer illiterate and tried to do what it told me to but it kept denying my request saying it couldnt do it. Could anyone please help me get rid of this thing. HELP!!!
Shedule a boot scan and let Avast take care of it.
start Avast > Menu > Shedule boot scan
How do you do that. The section under menu is not in dark text and wont let me click on it. Was finally able to run a full scan and found like 10 viruses was able to get rid off all but the one listed above. HELP!!!
boot scan is only possible if you have a NT based system.
If you have Windows 98(se) or lower, run a system scan in safe mode.
I think there might be an option in the pop up virus warning window saying something like " If necessary delete on restart" or somthing similar, tick that. Or also try if you can move it to chest and then run AVAST and open up the Chest fucntion and delete it then if you can .
