Are you saying avast detects this (or not) ?

As the VirusTotal results don’t show that and it was using the latest VPS version, 090509-0, what VPS version are you using ?

Since 0 of the 40 scanners on VirusTotal find anything wrong with this file, what is the purpose of this topic ?

Are you saying something else detects this, if so, what ?
e.g. What is the software that detected it, the file name and location.

If you feel this is a virus feel free to send to the chest and click Email to ALWIL Software. Then ALWIL will analysis it.

Update I have had this analysed at another site and it is very suspect, http://anubis.iseclab.org/?action=result&task_id=1dc28196e9ae6f4242d1af7156ee3e1cc&format=html, so the sample should be sent to avast for analysis.

Send the sample to virus@avast.com zipped and password protected with the password in email body, a link to this topic might help and undetected malware in the subject.

Or you can also add the file to the User Files (File, Add) section of the avast chest (if it isn’t already there) where it can do no harm and send it from there. A copy of the file/s will remain in the original location, so you will need to take further action and can remove/rename that.

Send it from the User Files section of the chest (select the file, right click, email to Alwil Software). It will be uploaded (not actually emailed) to avast when the next avast auto (or manual) update is done.
