Win32:Virtu-F

Hello,

I have a USB on which I have different files (such as video/photo files, documents, and some programs). Avast never raised any red flags for it. I copied a couple of video files (just mp4 files, no zip/rar) from a different computer and after scanning with Avast I got a Win32:Virtu-F pop-up. It immediately put the files in my virus chest. All the folders that I had on my USB became non-accessible shortcuts. Now, this is the part that I don’t understand; the files that I copied from the other computer are ‘clean’ as well as some other mp4 files that were already on the USB but not in the folders. The folders became shortcuts and I get ‘Windows can’t access specified device/path/file. You may not have appropriate permission to access this item.’ message when trying to access them. I realize that all the exe/zip/rar files might be compromised and shouldn’t be copied to a computer, however, in those folders there are some documents, photos, and videos that I would like to keep but I can’t get to them. Please advise me how to handle this.

Thank you.
