Win32:Vitro and Win32:Sality Virus

Hello All,
My system is affected with Win32:Vitro and Win32:Sality virus. Can anyone suggest me any tool by which I can remove the virus.

Vitro and Sality are fileinfectors…this is like computer canser so this may be a format reinstall case :-\ depends how far it has spread
system files are often damaged after removal…

Malware experts are notified, it may take some hours before they arrive

I am also feeling that I need to format and clean install of OS and Softwares. Are any other files like ppt, images and document and excel files infected by this virus? If I backup them, I am not sure, they will be virus free!

Before judgment, let’s check/confirm that.

Please download DDS and save it to your Desktop from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/dds/dl/104/

Double click to run the tool, click the Start button.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. DDS.txt and Attach.txt attach back to topic.

hello if it’s possible to have an infected file (explorer.exe , winlogon.exe , wininit.exe or similar windows file system) I’d like to

(not the dropper, just infected file)
