Win64:Adware-gen infection

Hi,

Avast Premier keeps reporting in a pop-up that a threat has been blocked "Win64:Adware.gen (adw) but there does not seem to be any way for Avast to remove this.When I run a scan then nothing is detected - including boot scan.

I have run Malwarebytes and nothing is detected: log attached

I have run FRST : logs attached

I have run aswMBR ; logs attached

How can I get rid of this virus please!!!

That is not avast popup warning …

anyway, try clear your temp folders with this

Hi,

I have TFC it cleaned 47MB and seemed to finish OK but when I rebooted then got same Avast warning which I have managed to capture this time… Hope this helps.

We did, but uninstalled it a while ago.

Thanks very much for that link. I have followed it through and ADW has caught x2 files, so hopefully that’s it!
