A little while ago my nephew called me, most of his computer was frozen by Win7AntiSpyware.
He couldn’t surf so I sent him rkill via IM. He was able to run rkill. Now he could run mbam Free and also MSE.
Mbam quick scan, MSE real time.
Both detected the trojan at about the same time.
He let MSE kill and clean up from it.

MSE isn’t going to protect him on Facebook. Prevx’s SafeOnline is a good product for protection and there is a free version for Facebook users. Don’t know if it will clash with MSE’s realtime protection so that would have to be checked out. Prevx SafeOnline hueristics settings might have to be tweaked in regard to other realtime running anti-malware software.
Thanks this worked for me. I went into safemode, had to run rkill twice, the first time the win 7 antispyware interrupted it, the second time it completed successfully. Then I ran SuperAnitSpyware free version and seems ok for now.
Unfortunately it does not always come alone - it does bring some friends along for the ride
