In Win98 I get blue screen at shutdown. If I uninstall avast then ok?
I used to have slow shutdown in WinXP but this problem was solved several versions ago. Any suggestions?

What processes are opened when you start the shutdown process?
Did you have any other antivirus installed in this computer?
If it’s a question, then it’s impossible to say without more info.
In any case, the content of the blue screen (all those numbers etc.) may be helpful…
