I am a registered Microsoft Windows Insider Preview tester. I am currently testing the Windows 10 update that is scheduled for release in the spring of 2017.
There are several Internet buffer errors with the recent test builds. especially with sites that display continued updates and/or videos (like Yahoo, Facebook, …) Microsoft, while not always responsive to the testers’ observations, has mentioned on more than one occasion to disable third-party antivirus; in particular, they mention Avast.
I have followed through with the suggestion. I noticed a marked improvement accessing these sites when Avast Free shield is temporarily disabled. I noticed a big improvement when I also disable Windows Firewall.
Understandably, I am very nervous when both these security programs are disabled. Btw, I reset Firewall to defaults and it made little difference.
Is Avast looking into this issue? Why is Microsoft singling out Avast products?
