I can see we are getting increased number of individuals who have Windows 10 installed and are having issues with 3rd Party software, Avast for example.
It’s unfortunate some these individuals fail to grasp that Windows 10 Final Code hasn’t been written yet and as Essexboy so rightly points out, when using a beta or Preview edition of an OS there will “always” be issues as the Code keeps being changed/modified/update etc etc etc. : ;D
I’m running Avast Internet Security on Windows 10 Build 10130
It appears that the Avast Firewall Module is not compatible. It is disabled after the update to 10130 and can’t be started.
I tried a repair of Avast without success. The only thing that worked, Was to change Avast and uninstall the Firewall module.
Once that was done, AIS works without any further problems and the Windows Firewall is now working in place of the Avast Firewall module.
This certainly needs to be addressed but for now it’s a workaround that I can live with.
this seems on some specific issue with this Win10 build. We are now testing on the latest internal Win10 build and firewall works fine. So please wait for next public Win10 build.
I did a clean install of Avast IS this morning and that’s fixed the problem.
All installed modules of Avast IS are working properly, including the firewall module, using Windows 10 Build 10130.
