Windows 10 Pro Redstone 1 build 14393.3 RTM: Security certificate problems

I upgraded to the sign-off Redstone 1 rtm build today and all of a sudden, I keep getting these security certificate issues. I discovered it was Avast the minute I turned off the Web Shield. It was happening also in Google Chrome but it seems to have stopped once I repaired the installation. I have been using Adguard desktop alongside Avast but I don’t think that causes any issues.

Date and time is correct.

Avast IS version (see attachment, it’s the latest build.)

Error in Edge (tried navigating to twitter.com, see attachment ‘cert error’)

Fine in Chrome (see attachment if required.)

What could be the problem here?

Kind regards,
Hamza Zaman

As you can see, no problem here with Twitter, Windows 10, and Avast.
Hopefully someone with that problem will be able to come up with an answer.
(I am running the latest Beta build of Avast which may be the difference)

Hmmm, very weird, it’s happening to me a lot from time to time, even inside chrome, I’ve had to disable the shields for ten minutes till the problem goes away.

14393.5 is in dev so I hope it can fix this issue!

I have no problems in 14393.3 but, I’m using the latest beta of Avast.

Is this installed on your system ???
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176925)

Yes, it was preloaded into the iso image I installed.

What ISO image ??? This was an update for those on the Windows Insider Program .

Of course, from the Windows Insider program. I downloaded the iso image version and it must have installed that update whilst it was checking for updates before the installation phase.

There hasn’t been an ISO of the current version available. All updates happened through the update process.

Hmm… So you reckon that is the update which is causing me issues then?

I didn’t say that. I asked if you have all the updates installed. I do and I don’t have the problem you have.
Microsoft just released another cumulative update: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=156141.msg1327243#msg1327243

Thanks for your help, I’ll try installing that new update and see if the problem exists.

My pleasure. If that fixes the problem, let us know. If not, we’ll need to dig deeper.

You’ve been of awesome help! Thanks again! I’ll update in this thread to let you know how it goes.

It still happens. :-\

You could try the latest beta: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15

As Asyn mentioned, there is a new Beta available. I pointed out that I’m running Avast beta some time ago:

I’ll have to just try out the beta version then.Thanks.

I have another question, is it easy to transfer from the beta version to the release version? I normally don’t use the beta versions, I like being stable.
