I just upgraded two different computers to Service Pack 4, Windows 2000. Now, when I reboot either computer, they come up with “port 110 already in use” error when Avast email scanner tries to start. Anyone have a clue what’s up here?
Has the smtp service been started? If so, try disabling it and try again.

I looked at the services running and see no smtp, so I guess that is not the issue. Any other ideas?
