Maybe not correct forum?
It would probably be the correct forum if it is avast related, which we probably won’t know until investigated. But what is the issue ?

I have seen some mention of this or similar on forums (AV)
I was thinking more of how it is effecting you as a) the MS article mentions several conditions and b) BSODs.
You have a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. You use a SCSI miniport driver as the memory dump file device driver or as the hibernation file device driver on the computer. You install one of the following updates: Hotfix 2320550 Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1)In this scenario, one of the following issues occurs:
When a fatal error causes a Stop condition, the operating system does not generate a memory dump file of the system memory. When you try to hibernate the computer, the computer restarts instead of hibernates.</blockquote>
Now you aren’t using windows 7 (according to your signature), don’t know if you have SCSI miniport and or you installed win7 sp1. Added to that this could lead to a Stop error condition (BSOD).
So what is the issue that is effecting you on your system (symptoms as this KB article doesn’t appear to relate to your system) ?
I don’t have the issue
I have seen the odd mention of others & when I saw a new KB I thought I’d post the link

Windows 7
Some Windows 7 customers have experienced issues related to hibernation after installing Service Pack 1, Microsoft confirmed, with reports revealing that computers restart instead of hibernating.
According to the Redmond company, users reported that either hibernation ends up not working at all, or a memory dump file is not created. This only happens after the installation of SP1, and it affects both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
The software giant notes that customers who deployed Hotfix 2320550 also experienced the problems mentioned above.
Apparently, the problem is related to customers that rely on “a SCSI miniport driver as the memory dump file device driver or as the hibernation file device driver on the computer,” Microsoft said.
If users install Hotfix 2320550 or SP1 on a machine running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, they can create the following problems:
