Windows 7 - time update problem

hi
use Avast 5 free
If shield activated - after computer turn on i see incorrect windows-computer-time :frowning:
If i disable shield’s - after turn off and statup - time is correct

How to fix that problem ?
i like avast but hate that problems

I’m not sure exactly what your problems, can you post an image of the area you mean.

If it is the time displayed at the bottom right of the desktop, then I have no problem with avast installed. See image, I have also dragged my desktop click down, that is the correct local time for the United Kingdom.

No problem on my Windows 7 system.

No problem on my windows 7 system either. Have you tried activating the shield’s then change your time to correct?

What “shield” are you referring to?
Avast! shields should not interfere with windows Time.
If the problem you are referring to is the update with “time.windows.com” it is most likely a connection issue. Are you using a firewall -other than windows own- with avast! or if you are using the windows firewall have you configured it as a 2 way with outbound block?

computer time issues are generally linked to Windows cracks.

Yes
and after turn off and them on - windows clock show wrong time -8 or -12 hours :frowning:

If i do avast shield control → Disable permanently
after turn off and on → windows clock show correct time
i got this problem after installing avast, not have that problem before

i mean windows clock time in bottom-right corner
after turn off - turn on if avast shield is activ clock show incorrect time -8 or -12 hours (i m not remember)
Exsample: i turn on my pc in 19:00 but see 12:00 :frowning:

I checked - problem is with avast shields → if a disable it permanently - all is ok

Like Logos has stated, is your copy of window’s legit?

Well as you can see from all the other responses they aren’t experiencing this problem, so I really don’t know what is different for you.

Avast has no function that would reset the system clock, so I don’t understand the apparent connection.

Are you using a different avast language version English than your Native/Local language.

@Caxap

Could this be some odd interaction with a proxy? What are your proxy settings in Windows?

no proxy

I m not have freezeng and other problems like all other, but i have that “time” problem :frowning:

i m using english version

I don’t know if you are having a localisation issue in windows if you have windows in your language as that has the time set locally. So I don’t know if in running the English version of avast there is some interaction with the windows language version.

I don’t know if you are able to download an avast version in your language and clean install that, see if that makes any difference. Then you can add English as an additional language.

I don’t know why it is happening as there must be many people using the English as avast may not have their language version (localisation) or we would see much more of this and your is the first I have seen.

Neutron is a small time utility by Robin Keir. It doesn’t require installation. It will connect to time servers(selectable from a pull down list). Use it to compare the time server with the system time with and without Avast in the mix.

Check your time zone. I’ve been reinstalling Windows a lot recently, and while I have no idea if it’s Avast that is doing it, some software has been changing my time zone to GMT +4:30. Resetting my time zone to the correct one (GMT -5 for me) always sets the time back to its correct value.

tyvm
that is much better what before → every time push Update Now button in windows clock → change date and time → (Configure internet time settings)

My time zone is not changed
Maybe i m see that problem so fast?
