Windows 7 won`t boot

Hi there, Im having the same issue described in a lot of threads, my Win 7 Home P 64 won`t boot and stucks in aswRvrt.sys. Reading about it in this forum, I download rufus, OTL and FRST. Once have formatted the USB and recorded the OTL image, I boot the sick computer (USB hard drive) and after loading Retogo XE files a blue screen appears and I was unable to attach de FRST log.

Ill really appreciatte some help, I m worried about my files…

Thank you

attach (not copy and paste) all the logs you have

Hey,

can you try to boot into Safe Mode?

[*]Save any work and close all open windows
[*]Restart your computer
[*]When your computer has shutdown and is just starting to boot again (on the BIOS screen that usually has the manufactures logo on it) press F8
[*]Using the arrow keys, select Safe Mode with Networking and press enter

No, I cant. The boot stops in aswRvrt.sys in Safe Mode. My OS is dead. Ive tried with Rufus and OTL but didint work… Also when I boot with Windows DVD, the boot stuck in disk.sys

Now I m dowloading Hirens boot CD…only to try another solution.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

If this won’t work we will try something else.

I can´t reach Recovery Option Menu, because the computer doesnt`t boot. I tried to do so with the W7 installation disk, but no results, the loading files process stops on disk.sys file (Safe Mode with installation CD).

I tried with Hirens CD also, but couldnt load neither DOS nor mini XP. There is another option on this CD menu, but is based on Linux OS and I dont know how to proceed.

Is it possible? I tried Rufus, Hirens, WIndows CD and no success…How are they connected?? The notebook is a I7 HP Pavilion with 8 GB RAM and 750 SATA. I use the Hard Disk Drive TEST of the HP Menu from BIOS and it was OK.

LEt`s move on!! Another idea??

Thank you

Whoa. So my another idea won’t work because you need to go into Command Line via CD/Recovery Option Menu. I will do further research - so please be patient.

One last thing. Are you able to start the system via Safe Mode with Command Prompt? I think it will also hang but let’s give it a try.

No, Im not :/, always stop in disk.sys when booting from WIN CD. Whe booting from hard disk, it stops when loading aswRvrt.sys.

I could boot with Hirens Boot CD in DOS mode, but I was unable to see my hard disk. And only without any USB disk connected to the computer. If I connect a USB drive, the Hirens CD boot was unable to boot even in DOS…

I could boot with Hirens Boot CD in DOS mode, but I was unable to see my hard disk
Try to boot again and go into Dos Mode. Type following command in it:

chkdsk c: /r

Wait until it is finished and report what is exactly happening.

Additionally, go into the Bios and tell me if your hard drive is set to SATA or IDE.

Couldn`t check disk. Blue screen. And the disc is an HITACHI 750 MB ATA type. Still nothing… never happened in my computer life

Could you tell me the exact model of your laptop?

Pavilion DV6 I7 2670QM 2.20 Hz - Product Number: A1U59AAR

Please follow the steps here to do a system recovery (Scroll down and go to “Starting A Recovery from the hard drive and the computer is off”). Tell me if it worked.

It doesn`t work

After a minutes of hope, the process stoped at Recovery Manager Windows. No response. I tried to repeat the process but now it stucks earlier, in Windows flag, as it does when normal booting.

Can you tell me the model of your main hard drive? Thanks.

The picture is of the crash when trying to chkdsk f:.

HITACHI HTS547575A9E384
Firmware version: JE4OA50A
LBA48 supported
SMART enabled
Sector type 4k/512 e

Very greatfull for your replys Machiaveli

That is the blue screen when trying to boot Mini XP from Hirens Boot CD 15.2…

The same blue screen when trying to Boot wiht Pilitos XP…

GerTzu,

Any chance you recently did a BIOS upgrade ?
I ask because one of the causes of this error is wrong setting in BIOS for SATA HDDs…AHCI vs IDE settings.
I’m NOT the expert here…Machiavelli is…wait for his guidance…just giving some ideas is all.
