Installed windows 8.1 on a clean hard drive from iso to test and then avast pro 8.0.1492 beta. Had to tell windows to ignore incompatibility with avast. Then when opening IE was told WebRep (security plugin) would not work with Enhanced Protected Mode, so disabled Enhanced Protected Mode and WebRep working. Well WebRep kind of working, still not showing in google search, which is still the case in windows 7. Also script shield showing 0/0 on scanned and infected. Have had no blue screens, seems good so far. Just want to report WebRep not showing in google search and script shield not scanning.
I cant comment on the 8.0.1492 incompatibility as I’m not using it but the Browser Security Plugin has never functioned with Enhanced Protected Mode enabled.
craigb, what about WebRep showing up in google search in Windows 8.1 or 8.0 or windows 7? Have not seen any post on this for a long time. sly
Forgot to add Enhanced Protected Mode was enabled by default in windows 8.1, why I did not see this before.
I cant answer sorry as I don’t use WebRep or Google search.
