Windows 8.1 issues, with logs

I am working on my brother-in-laws PC and he has issues, He said he had a virus so I came over to check it out. I couldn’t find anything wrong, but I know he’s been messing with windows files and network setting to get his security cameras working on the PC.

I notice he has no internet when first booting, it can take several minutes for it to start working even though the driver says it is installed and connected to network2.

His nortons was disabled and said it needed activating, but it is free from comcast and auto activates. I had to manually reinstall it to get it running again. It reported nothing wrong except a few tracking cookies.

Anyway, I have the logs attached and hopefully I can get some guidance.

Nothing apparent in the logs

Is the overall boot time OK ?

Boot times seem fine. Even internet seems fine this morning.

He also says the mouse just stops working. But it seems fine now.

I see nothing wrong at all either.

Thanks for the help

Perhaps he needed to reboot a few times after the Windows updates.
There seem be some problems with the latest updates.

He’s had the issue for over a month and he powers down every day so it’s rebooted several times. He also has a wireless mouse so he probably just has some RF interference somewhere?

But I don’t see anything abnormal.

I guess I’ll keep poking around and see what happens.

Thanks for the help guys
