windows action center, not turning on

Hi folks, got my new asus g75v laptop a few days ago, got all my needed programed installed and i have noticed that the action center is displaying virus protection in red, i click on the option to ‘view anti virus protection’ a box comes up with avast, mcafe (already comes on the machine) and windows defender, it doesnt matter which i choose to ‘turn on’ nothing happens??

any ideas?

This “feature” of Windows has been buggy since Windows XP/Vista/7/8… If avast tells me I’m protected, then I just ignore what Windows has to say…

McAfee must be removed.....and defender turned off

I agree, would try removing McAfee and pray that it uninstalled properly… I also disabled defender on any systems I have avast on.

You will find third party anti-virus uninstallers here.

Uninstall McAfee and disable Windows Defender.
