Malwarebytes / OTL

If you have another firewall installed correctly. It may have disabled windows firewall. You really don’t want 2 firewalls running at the same time. Because they well fight against each other for settings. Same goes for antivirus software. Don’t really know why they interfere with each other. But I know from experience that they do.
How ever it could be malware that’s disabling it.
You can check its setting if you do this in windows 7:
Right click Computer, select Manage, select Services and Applications at the bottom.
Then find windows firewall. If it is disabled here you well not be able to start it within it self.
Also I recommend if you have a 3rd party antivirus enabled such as Avast, to find Windows Defender and disable it there. It creates all kinds of havoc with Avast. I had to disable it to get my Avast to run right.

Avast premier includes a firewall and the windows one will be shut down, as Avast is taking care of that
