Windows - IDP.General virus and smartCards registry

Hi Avast team

I am creating a driver to support a smart card. The driver adds an entry to the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Calais\SmartCards\cardname

Installation on a clean computer goes well, but if this driver was already installed on the computer, Avast finds the IDP.Generic virus

In this case my client needs to delete the registry entry, restart the computer and run the installer again. No virus found :).

Please advise me what to do so that the client does not have to reset the computer.

Hello użytkownik63, welcome to the community.

Try reporting false positives from here:

Be sure to include AlertID and detection name (IDP.Generic would be it in this case).
