Already did that, i continue with same problem… im thinking to have major bad luck with the great microsoft software, i once remember a friend having this problem and it never was able to get fixed.
This is my laptop and one acount only, yes always as administrator.
On-Note: i installed many older XP OS and clean ones, i wouldnt go install crapy things to damage XP, this is a serious rare bug that could ocur on windows xp instalation it seems…
On-Last_Note: there i go formating XP again, this time the portuguese version since im not suposed to have such bad luck like this… for a single error of windows isntaller, god have mercy on me when its microsoft software im dealing with…
After formatting and installing, did you go to MS update, and get the latest updates, and (especially) the latest validations?
The WGA has changed at least once in the past year.
I didnt, i installed my XP with service pack 3 already without internet activity, also installed antivirus avast/ firewall plus/ spywareblaster/ before ever conecting internet.
Im sure its the microsoft updates that screwed my windows installer.
I have been reading possible causes to this bug in windows installer of microsoft and seems it could even be related to directx 9 along with some graphic cards, well could be and could not be, i tell ya that its nasty to some, and im chosen for this crap, i decided not to use updates of microsoft till im done instaling what i want or im going to have an hard life with windows for sure in my laptop that is… (Programs that need windows installer that is)
