Windows 7 Home Premium. After Installing the latest Avast Free my windows isnt genuine anymore. I have uninstalled the old antivirusprog. and rebooted comp before I installed Avast! Anyone else have the same issue? Oh and my windows IS genuine and payed for from Komplett.se.

Ive tried to “re-verify” it doesnt take my genuine code. It just sits there with some random code and a microsoft popup gives me the alternative to buy windows (again^^).
Can it be that my old a/v Norton got a messy uninstall? Maybe left a patrol in the registry?

Highly doubt that the removal of Norton or the install of avast has anything to do with your Genuine issue.
