I have Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11. Today, I think while Avast was doing an update (I saw the instup.exe process), I resetted the computer by error (instant reset with the button) and at the restart the mini-mode function for Windows Media Player was gone: if I right click on the taskbar then on “Toolbars” the only options I have are “Desktop” and “Quick Launch” (shouldn’t there be more?) Also at the restart, Windows said that there was no antivirus detected, then I rebooted the computer, Avast completed the setup and this was settled; I don’t know if the avast process is related to the mini-mode problem, I asked here in doubt.
I tried all these solutions but they didn’t work: http://www.instructables.com/community/Windows-Media-Player-11-Mini-Mode-Taskbar-Not-Wo/
What can I do?
