Windows Server 2003 R2 ?

Seems I can’t install this on this OS.

I have an old Dell SC420 PowerEdge Server that doesn’t like XP (no drivers), however I also have an MSDN subscription so I am allowed to install any OS I choose, so I choose W2K3 - simple - low footprint, etc.
I planned on giving this old box to my daughter as a replacement for her super old Optiplex GX1 desktop.

I had never heard of Avast before today - always used McAfee Virusscan myself, but a forum recommendation got me here. Am I out of luck? Obviously, I’m not about to spend $400 on Avast Server license.

Yeah, avast is not free for Windows Server operational systems and I think it won’t be in the future… ::slight_smile:
