so where what and how do I do to get avast anti virus installed on a windows tablet PC…
I don’t use any windows tablets, but doesn’t it use a restricted version of the windows OS, so you are unable to run some or all full programs and only APPs.
What is the full windows version information that you are using ?
What CPU do you have in your win8.1 tablet ?
That was the big failing of the Windows RT Edition, they were on a different windows OS to the full fat/caffeine version of Windows OS - See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_RT.
I don’t know of any Windows RT versions of security Apps - I don’t even know if Microsoft brought out an RT OS version of windows defender.
yes this is what my research is starting to show I tried both of there own products and no luck - so basically i have a tablet that is totally unprotected and it looks like it will stay that way… disgraceful carry on by microsoft imho…
Yes, I believe MS totally dropped the ball on this ill thought out decision an OS (crippled/hamstrung) that was neither one thing or another, not windows full fat, not android. Developers didn’t like it either, so they didn’t spend a whole lot of time developing Apps for it.
I just wonder if there isn’t a way you could convert Windows RT to Android at least there would be more security based Apps available. Lots of hits on a search I did, https://uk.search.yahoo.com/search?p=convert+Windows+RT+to+Android how difficult this might be you would have to check out.
