I think the problem is MS rushed out the update without testing it sufficiently.

Hi FwF,
Here in the Netherlands the patch was available from 19.30 henceon. I ventured to install it. As you can read here: http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?storyid=2562 there are two contra-indications. Is this often with out of cycle patches that they have “ifs” like these.
It is almost as with a vaccin. We want to vaccinate 95% of the population, but we’d rather not inform you of the side effects, which may be grave. What you think of this attitude?

I see, but the patch is not directly available for download?
This KB is the one, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/,
RESOLUTION Download information The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:Download the 935448 package now.
clicking the ‘Download the 935448 package now’ link on that page takes you here, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=74AD4188-3131-429C-8FCB-F7B3B0FD3D86&displaylang=en, this requires WGA validation.
Is this where you have been.
Thank you David, the hotfix worked ;D, hopefully windows updates dont mess up my computer again.
Your welcome, fingers crossed, no more problems.
