Windows Updates for Vista

Hello people – season’s greetings to you all wherever you are!

I don’t know how many of you run Vista, but the Windows Updates that usually take place in the second week of the month did not happen in November nor this month, although Automatic Updates are scheduled.

Meanwhile Windows Defender continues to update itself and scan automatically every 4 days or so.

Any one else experiencing this?

could it just bee that no updates was released… ???
you can try running a manual update and see if it find anything to download

anyway i just got 12 updates installed on my XP today

Hi, I have vista and received 1 in November and today there were 10.

You are right - today there are 10!

It concerned me because I read articles about Windows patches and security problems - and then it occurred to me that the updates had not been coming as regularly as they used to.

and i always change the automatic install time from default 03:00 at night to 12:00 midday or some time when the comp is on

Ah - good tip, Pondus.

I received 14 yesterday.

Now I feel ripped off, I only got 8 updates :frowning: on my really old XP Pro SP3 OS, that yokenny thinks so highly of ;D

I received 11 for my XP Pro system and 10 for my Windows 7 system.
It depends on what operating system features you have installed.

I keep Windows Defender updated daily through its portal:
Latest definition version: 1.95.1822.0
http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx

Choose the correct update for your system 32-bit

Don’t feel bad DavidR  I only got 10 updates on my XP Pro SP3 OS, maybe you don’t have may others Microsoft softwares installed on your PC after all.

I got only 10 updates to my XP computer.

The laptop which has W7 has been off-line the last 3 days but it get them tomorrow.
