I was just doing a update for avast, and it wanted me to restart. After the restart, a message comes up saying that virus protection has been turned off. I go into the control panel, and clicked on view installed antivirus apps. But when I open it, I dont see Avast! Is it still protecting me? ???
Reboot again. Any better/
Well, when I go to control panel, and I click on view antivirus apps, Avast is there, but I cant turn it on… but when I go to anti spyware apps, I can click turn on on Avast, but it never turns on… I’ll try rebooting to see if it helps. And it helped! I dont see messages coming up that I need a antivirus, but I just hope its on. Thanks for all your help! ;D

Sometimes a second and 3rd Reboot is needed to get everything set and drivers loaded after install or update.
Just a little tip to keep in mind. 
I needed to do a second reboot for the latest update.
It’s the first time I’ve run into that requirement.
Now everything is fine.
