Windows Vista

Has anyone tried Avast with the Microsoft Windows Vista beta?
Thank you.

Not a single issue, working perfectly… but you have to be aware that Vista is still far from gold release, so it is expected to see many changes in the future

You should do a forum search as there is at least one person experiencing problems with Vista and avast, although it is unclear what the problem is or where the fault lies.

As Sasha said it is a beta product and using a beta OS on you only system (without a comprehensive back-up/restore plan) isn’t advised.

I would like to try the beta!

but cannot find a link to download it :-[

Sorry if this sounds bad, but are you sure you really want to do this if you can’t find a download link. Using an OS beta (or security based beta program) is not something to take lightly it can totally screw your system.

I did a quick and simple google search for ‘MS Vista beta 2 download’ and it returns many, many hits some of which indirectly lead to download links.

i searched and also cant find a download link, you can always get it on a p2p program at your own risk of course

Hi,

Look the latest beta is feature complete (until Micro$oft finds something wrong) ;D

Getting a Vista beta2 from anywhere but Microsoft would be at best very risky. And, at Microsoft you will need to be an official beta tester. So, sign up if you are not already. As has been mentioned above, you do not want to do this on a computer that is your only computer!

TO get a copy of Vista just go to your local apple store, its called Mac OS X tiger. Apple even moved their developers confrence to august this year so Microsft could not copy leopard’s new features

now seriously does anyone know if vista supports intel’s new EFI?
