Windows xp-Anti Spyware/Internet Security 2011

So I’ve been having to deal with the Xp-Anti Spyware and Windows Internet Security 2011 virus
many times now. I’ve used Malwarebytes many time to remove it, But I constantly seem to be getting the virus over and over again.

My question is: Will Avast protect me form getting this malware over and over again? And is there any steps I need to go through to help protect my system in the future?

I have Windows Xp Professional with service pack 3 installed. Its currently up to date with everything. I can Post a Log from Malwarebytes but I might need some steps into getting into my notepad logs, If those are kept.

It was looked that you has been infected by fake antivirus,

This problem is really hard to identify as common users to know is it good or bad one.
But my suggest what you should do :

  1. Turn off your system restore
  2. Download Dr.Web Scanner
  3. You can run Dr.WebScanner on your system
  4. To make sure, you are fixed the infected fake antivirus you can re-scan with Malwarebytes

I hope this steps may solved your issues, since i ever meet such as this kind fake antivirus previously. And make sure what is the variant fake antivirus that has been infected your system to check your registry and program files and remove their file in there.
