system

Hello,
I have this issue and upon searching the forum found that this is a common problem. I attempted to follow the instructions found here:

I created the boot disk as instructed, but the problem is that when I try to boot with it, I end up just getting a blue screen with the mouse cursor and no Reatogo interface. Can anyone help?
That would tend to suggest you have a system hardware problem. Are any stop codes referenced on the blue screen

The blue screen comes up for just a brief instant, then the system restarts so it is impossible to read. Is there a way to go into the BIOS and stop the CPU from restarting automatically every time there is a BSOD? I really don’t mind if I have to do a fresh XP install, but I was at least hoping to get some files off this computer first.
You may be able to use a live cd with Linux on it to recover some data but I feel this is a reinstall job
