My good people. At 24:35 May 14 2014 I received from my dearest Microsoft the following updates :
Microsoft office 2007 - kb2817330, kb2880507, kb2880508
Office 2010 kb2825635 32 bits edition - Not applicable in my case
outlook kb2880505
Windows Defender ( I was expecting that anyway )
Ferramenta de remocao de software mal - intencinado de windows May 2014 kb 890830
Whatever happened to the End of support of windows XP ?
I am a bit puzzled but of of course very happy indeed.
Yes, indeed ! What I am trying to say is that providing you have office 2007, 2010 installed and if they will carry on with the malicious software removal, things aren’t really that bad for xp users. Also you may get the malicious software removal thingy from here : http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx
avast! as your resident Anti Virus program will do a whole lot more to keep your Windows XP safe than the tools you mentioned.
Since avast! receives streaming updates if you’re on-line, you’re always protected against the latest discovered infections.
Changing to a more secure browser like Chrome or Firefox is another good move to make.
But of course Bob ! I am using Firefox and google chrome have not used IE since 2006 I don’t even know what it looks like. And guess what , my resident antivirus is Avast it has been for 10 years now.
In Avast we trust
