Once the USB has burnt then

[*]Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to the flash drive.

[*]Reboot your system using the boot USB you just created.
Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from USB follow the steps here
[]As the Programme needs to detect your hardware and load the operating system, I would recommend a nice cup of tea whilst it loads
[
]Your system should now display a Reatogo desktop.
[]Locate the flash drive and run FSRT
[
]The tool will start to run.

This will totally disable Avast

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion try a reboot

Thanks for that it took 45 mins to fix then on reboot it would not start not even in safe mode any more. I will have to try and find a my a Acronis boot disk and the back up DVD but since I moved finding any think is a pain all I can say avast was very good. But I shall tell all my friends who use it to watch out as it my make them crash to !!! some running windows 7.

Can you attack a fixlog? Should be on the USB Stick
