@bob3160 Thank you for telling us this! I never knew a such tool like this even existed on windows! I guess the saying is true you do learn something new everyday ;D

For me, the day I stop learning is the day I’ll be 6 feet under. ;D
I actually got some of the information in one of the News Letters that I subscribe to.
I just enhanced it and added screen shots and found out the actual program the article was
talking about so that I could create a desktop shortcut.
Even though it’s buried in the control panel functions, I couldn’t find the actual program used
without a lot of digging.
The fun of learning.

The thing that gets me though where is the screenshots that you can see inthe “.mhtml” file in the zip folder that it creates is stored… wait is the images stored in the mhtml file? ???

Correct. It creates the file with all the information including the screen shots.
This program was actually developed for professional who help customers track down the
problems.
Remember, it only works for problems you can recreate. Or problems that happen at
a predictable time after you launch the system etc.

+1…had no idea this was there, thanks

Nice but not available in the currently released build ???

It will all be available to you as part of the Windows 8 Beta release in addition to the features available in the Developer Preview.

Which will hopefully be out by some time in Feb. 2012.

That’s true for most users.
For some others the beta download should start quite soon. (CES)

Wonder if Avast needs someone to attend ???
I’m not that far away and am free for those days… ;D ;D ;D

Hope they send you there, as you always provide nice info and pics.

i hope avast 7 will be compatible with win8…once win8 is out of beta i will get it for my new cheap computer sitting beside me and i will infect it with malware and play around with uncountable pieces of malware and see how avast does! ;D

messing up as far as i can in presence of avast 7

If they have time… Otherwise, we can have a new version ( avast v.8 ) when Windows 8 gets out

Please stop posting items in topics which have nothing to do with the subject of the Thread. >:(

New for Windows 8, Reload a fresh copy of Windows 8 and keep your files and settings or,
Wipe out everything and just leave a fresh install of Windows 8 behind.
