Dch48 why don’t you just go back to Win7 and then you wont have to complain and nit pick over what Win10 will or wont be
No, as I said, I’ll most likely have 10 but won’t use a lot of the stuff and might even still use Classic Shell for my Start Menu. I like 8.1 with Classic Shell and definitely feel it is better than 7 under the hood so 10 most likely will be too. I’m just saying that the presentation was not very impressive to me and if the upgrade was not free, I would pass.
There will no doubt be a million changes before 10 is ready for the general public so it’s to early to speculate yet on how or what functionality it will or wont have but now that a start menu is going to be included there could be a box to tick or a script to run to have it exactly like you want it.
It’s early days yet
I just read that you can customize the right panel of 10’s Start Menu with the same shortcuts as in Win 7 instead of or along with the tiles. that sounds great so I’m going to try it on a separate partition on my laptop. It has more than enough power and RAM to run it.
Okay I installed the Win 10 preview on the laptop in a dual boot setup with 7. I have to say I like it. The new start Menu pretty much takes away the need for Classic Shell. There are some things I’d like to see changed though. There is no option to add browser favorites to the Start Menu and that’s what I use the most. You can add them in 7, 8, and 8.1 but they’ve been omitted in 10. I’m talking about right clicking on the taskbar and then Properties/Start Menu/Customize.
The biggest problem I had was that the wireless networking driver that Win 10 installed did not work right. I kept getting limited connections. After a few Google searches I found the right driver and instructions on how to make it work. The card is the Broadcom 4313GN and it seems that it had the same issues in Win 8 and 8.1.
I’m also dual booting with Windows 8.1 as the default boot and Windows 10 as the alternate.

I edited my Win 8.1 desktop wallpaper with Irfanview.

So Malwarebytes is working ? Come on avast!, I hate using Deffender.
Yes Malwarebytes works fine. I haven’t tried the free Bitdefender AV yet so I’m still using Defender as well.
Malwarebytes installed and, as you said, it’s working flawlessly.

The Windows 10 background has invaded my Windows 8 partition ???
Strange since they are on separate partitions. When I booted this morning,
I noticed the desktop background in Windows 8.1 had changed to the Windows 10 image.
The same thing happened to me. It’s because of the syncing through OneDrive. Go to PC settings and then to OneDrive and change the sync settings by unchecking syncing of desktop things .
Another useful shortcut Key combination:
