Warning!

According to the folks at MSMVPS, ‘Winfixer’ & ‘Errorsafe’ is being distributed by MSN messenger banner advertisements. See this link for more info:

So far, avast is not detecting this file as malware (scroll down in that link above to see results at VirusTotal). I sent an email to ‘virusavast.com’ with this info. Hopefully this is correct. But… since this malware is not a virus but spyware, I suppose avast may not ever detect these.

But I’d be careful about using MSN messenger until MSN clear this up.

Thank you so much for the information and for sending it to avast!

It’s always a great idea to share information and spread it around for those of us that want to
stay in the loop.

I don’t use MSN Messenger…however…I will pass this information on to friends that use it.

By the way…you know who I am.
