So should we consider the winpatrol products abandonware since they havent had a update now in four years? I use the firewall and while it works it could definitely be improved upon.
Well it somewhat dated, but still serves a function, in a program like this there aren’t huge implications in still having it. But as win10 moves on and on there are likely to be functions/areas that WinPatrol doesn’t cover.
If you don’t feel it meets your needs then look for an alternative.
The new owner brought out two new programs, which some considered should have been extensions of WinPatrol, but no money in that for those who had bought WinPatrol lifetime licences.
I still run it on 2 systems. It still serves it’s purpose IMO, and is very low on system resources
No updates for years. 2017?
No website.
No technical support.
No word from the developer, Bret Lowry, with information regarding the future of Winpatrol.
What future.
It’s an outdated and no longer supported program. I removed it years ago.
I was also one of the original users of this program. I even had a discount code that I was
able to offer those interested in the paid program. But, that was though the Original Owner.
Do any of you have an alternative to WinPatrol?
Do any of you have an alternative to WinPatrol?
There isn’t any one program that duplicates all the functions included in WinPatrol
