I have WinPatrol installed. Is there any problem in installing ThreatFire with WinPatrol? and which is better?
Well, one is a behavior analysis tool (TF) and the other is a very light HIPS.
Behavior tools had to have more “inteligence” behind them. But TF is no longer being active developed.
If you want a second layer, I’ll go for WinPatrol nowadays. Be prepared to be asked for some questions that only advanced users will know how to answer…
Threatfires development has been ceased for a while now so i cant see a point in using outdated software and WinPatrol is a excellent program, very light on the system and great at monitoring everything on your system.

One of my favorite programs is WinPatrol +. It takes a snapshot of your system and alerts you if anything changes.
If there are any changes to your startup, services, BHO, activeX, etc. WinPatrol asks what to do.

I didn’t know that TF is an outdated software ??? This Link http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-hips.htm made me think about ThreatFire >:(
If you dig a little deeper you see that the topic was probably made in 2009.
