I am using it right now! 8)
I just installed at the Community Center.
I used my 99cent registration from some month back to make it the pro version.
using it also…the pro version
I too took advantage of that and will be trying out their WinPatrol Cloud Edition. I’m surprised that they are allowing it to also be used by the free winpatrol version, it would have been a good hook to get the free winpatrol users to upgrade.
Though I wondering as this is a wpsetup.exe (a full installer) how it copes with having the WinPatrol Plus version installed.
I just installed over the existing Plus version at home without any problems.
“Current WinPatrol version is : 18.1.2010.0:18.1.2010.0
Your version is : 19.0.2010.0:19.0.2010.0”
No problems here also David Did just like Bob did…

OK, just installed over the top of existing Plus and have started playing with it. Selecting various services and startup entries, etc. to see how the Plus info along with the cloud and adding my input, see image (guess who the 1 was ;D)

That was pretty first 8)
Well start getting in on the act and check out your own files and add to the cloud content.
Though I hope there is some form of oversight/checking the end user submissions or it could quickly get like WOT (community), rubbish in rubbish out with some off-the-wall results, which would depreciate the value of the resource.
@ DavidR
I’m no. 2 8)
You can Report Errors in Description and it is handled by WinPatrol support not a bunch of WOT amateurs.
That is what (not wot) I was hoping for, qualified oversight; the problem being being cloud based I’m wondering just how much traffic (adding to the database) there will be and can they handle the volume.
I believe it to be a valuable resource and would hate to see it depreciated by people who either haven’t a clue when clicking the radio buttons or with malicious intent.
I guess I also rated a lot of other processes like Threatfire’s TFservice.exe,. etc for the first time, since there is no usernames etc, no one will know for sure, who voted first…
Yes, voting with malicious intent can be possible but I guess, it is better than WOT
I think there is more to it, maybe be there is a verification feature or something but I am not sure.

I don’t know if any one else caught the error in this screen but it should now be Avast Software
Well I noticed that, but I also noticed the misspelling of Awil and not Alwil. I appreciate it will take time for other entities/databases to eventually get around to the name change, but I would have expected them to get the spelling right ;D

If we were all perfect there would be no need for WinPatrol nor avast! nor Norton.
