Winsock.dll,wsock32.dll, Kernel32.dll are these virusis?

I was just checking Avasts log after a scan and I found these files in the Virus Chest… I was wondering are these System files necessary? or are they virusis in disguise?

here are the proprties of all 3

First of all what Windows version are you running (OS)

Ok, Winsock.dll and Wsock32.dll are used by many Internet and network applications, and should be safe.

Kernel32.dll is an important Core component, windows needs it.

But just to be sure there not in ‘disguise’ please try scanning them with Jotti scanner to be sure.

The files you mention are very likely in the system files section in the virus chest. That is normal since Avast creates a backup of them from the original files, so Avast will be able to put those back in case anything happens with the original ones.
