Hi there,
After reading many similar topics, and with the excellent tutorial of Essexboy, I managed to create a bootable USB drive for my Asus EEE laptop and generated Fsrt log. I hope someone could help me solve this issue

I have the same problem. It happened after cleaning XP with MBAM. My frst.txt log is in attachmet. Please help !
@zbrnelic could you start your own thread please
@tito12 what happened prior to the non-booting ?
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion reboot and let me know the result
Hi Essexboy
thanks for the answer, actually not sure what caused the problem because I bought a new laptop so didn’t use the EEE for that period. I remember updating some drivers though and WA too.
Will try the fix and report
I get “no fixlist.txt found…” the file you provided is fix.txt, should I rename it to fixlist?
Edit: renamed and run fix but no change after reboot
Sorry my fault I uploaded and OTL fix file in error… Try this one :-[
Thanks but didn’t solve issue, probably aswrvrt wasn’t the cause, now last driver shown before bsod is mup.sys. Do you have any suggestions?
Unfortunately you do not have any restore points which we could use… As it was offline for a while it may well have been a windows update that caused it. The only option I can think of now is a repair install, but you will need the windows CD for that
That’s what I feared, btw I restored to an older registry backup to no avail. Anyway I started backing up my files and will try installing win 8 ;D
Thanks for your help!
Sorry we could get no further
