I wish some features on the firewall part: cleaning obsolete app rules, sorting them by path, a restricted mobile data (tether) mode.
For the free version, I would like to see a virtual keyboard (as there is no SafeZone).
About the interface, I have an old wish: themeable interface (not skin, but only the colors).
Besides what we always want: stability, performance, proactive detection…

When I stumble upon a site that Avast blocks it would be nice to have an option to have the site reported to Avast and from them to all users. Also to change the sites Webrep.
Why report a site that avast already blocks.
Alerts by the web shield on a site if multiple avast users visit that site and get alerts, that eventually is filtered into the network shields malicious sites list, blocking access to that site. So you wouldn’t even see anything on the webrep.
There are already plans to incorporate more virus labs information into the webrep, no details or time frame. However the WebRep already includes some security based tools such as the phishing filter and also the Site Correct function.

Also i’ve got an old suggestion: to add pop up when usb flash drive was plugged in: "USB flash drive was plugged in. Do you want to scan it for viruses?

I would like to see an option (configurable via the GUI) to delay a virus database update on the system boot (5 minutes or so).
Only thing that i want for avast! 8 is that Auto Sandbox behavior analysis will actually ever detect anything and for Behavior Shield to actually detect malicious behavior (opposed to not detecting anything now). Everything else can be exactly the same as in avast! 7 for all i care.

Whilst in most cases it isn’t an issue, but for older systems or those with limited resources the update process can place a heavy load on the system.
If I had a £1 for every post I have made showing how to modify the avast5.ini file to delay the initial update check, it would be a very good Christmas present.
