right now im running another antivirus but when i reinstalled windows 10 and installed avast and then my comodo firewall (i didn’t install it’s antivirus), and i did a quick scan and it passed, but after i downloaded and installed the big windows 10 update and when i scanned again it now lists my firewall as a antivirus.
has anyone else had this happen??
- Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
- Which version…?
- W10 - which Build…?
i have trouble with avast free identifying comodo firewall as a antivirus while running windows 10 home 64 bit 1511 build.
Try re-installing CFW using these steps http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-install-comodo-firewall.htm
i’ve tried your link about 5 or 6 times (with my hp laptop running vista and google chrome (since i’m low level formatting my home built gaming windows 10 pc)).
and the link only worked on internet explorer 9 (i tried it once with ie9), it kept causing google chrome to give me a bad pool header blue screen of death.
and right now it’s running comodo internet security (antivirus and firewall) but i prefer avast and comodo firewall (since they’ve worked so well together in the past until avast’s recent update.
Which version of Avast Free…?
Simply use the firewall that comes with Windows 10.
Which version of CFW are you trying to install?
Also you should update your IE. IE 9 is outdated.
If the user is running Windows 10, then he’s not using IE version 9.
In reply #4 the OP said they tried IE 9.
I’m wondering if the OP is trying to install the wrong version of CFW. ???
CFW v8.2.0.4792 should work. That’s the version I’m using. Any earlier
version isn’t “completely” compatible with Win10.
i was referring the the web browser i have on my laptop (besides google chrome) and i had no issues with comodo firewall and avast until recently when now it shows comodo as a antivirus and i didn’t install comodo’s antivirus on ether my laptop or my windows 10 gaming pc (i have avg installed on both), (i’m going to soon reinstall windows 7 64 bit onto my gaming pc because windows 10 keeps disabling avg’s identity protection feature).
Again, which version of Avast Free…?
AVG or Avast ??? They are 2 different products.
