After installing the new version of Avast I cannot receive new bookinformation in Calibre (searching for 12 books gives 0 book found with shields on and 9 books found with shields off (twice done with same result). For the rest NO error message from Calibre nor from Avast. Changing the maximum search time gives NO difference.

yes i did reboot, but ik did not help; i am trying to reinstall now
Don’t forget to use the uninstall tool before trying to install again.
what tool? I noticed a message here about that topic, but it is gone.
After reinstall of avast (without removal tool) Calibre did find 7 of the 12 books when the shields were on . Better but still strange that it is not 9.
The only thing I can think of is that Avast is making the system TO SLOW and Calibre exits the search to early because of that.

In the meantime I did find the uninstalltool and did an uninstall followed bij reboot and install and again reboot.

strange things still keep happening; i think I have to live with it.
Still only 7 of the 12 books are found and not 12 (the only difference with the last time is that I never find the 9 of 12; switching off the shields does not make any difference anymore).
It must be something within the combination Calibre and maybe Avast (I did search for he same 12 books alle the tests)
I do stop trying to fix this.
