Won't Install. Keep Getting Error Message

I have tried several times to install the free version of Avast on my personal laptop, but consistently get an “error” message, “The directory is not empty.” I’ve used Avast before with no problems and my computer is working fine otherwise. Any ideas would be appreciated.
