Working Deployments suddently start failing

So I had a working instance of Avast 7 with the EAC version 7.0.306

I went on vacation now it is not working, and no one changed anything…

The following is an example of a failed deployment.

11/07/12 16:17:13: rinstInstall begin
11/07/12 16:17:13: Init 50 60 C:\Windows\TEMP\asw3B7C.tmp C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Enterprise Administration\InstPkgs NULL 0
11/07/12 16:17:13: Store
11/07/12 16:17:13: Domains: *,
11/07/12 16:17:13: Init PRTGROUP\PRTCOUTIL02
11/07/12 16:17:13: PRTCOUTIL02: install already in progress
11/07/12 16:17:13: PRTCOUTIL02: Finished with error
11/07/12 16:17:13: TerminateAll
11/07/12 16:17:13: rinstInstall end 87

I can run the install locally with the service account and my admin account without issue (domain admin)

  • However I can deploy with neither username/password

The EAC says the error is permissions (access denied) - 0x00000005 - check remote install log.

However with accounts as local admin as well as domain admin it should be “enough” to do anything under the sun
(especially since it was working)

I’ve tried with a * in the domain, I’ve tried it with a *\username to as well nothing seems to make a difference.

Since the deployment fails immediately it almost seems like it is having an issue copying the files over, or authenticating against the local system.

Anyone have an idea, or point me to a definitive set of required permissions for the service account?

Thanks,
