Avast is installed on Samsung Galaxy S3. Android 4.0.4.
I added a single group “Spam” only. It contains several members. Some of them numeric but other have literal identificators (they were added from SMS log).
I noticed that a log of blocked messages for the group contains sms’s from services, which are not included in the group (they all have literal ID’s).
So, my questions are:
what can lead to such an affect?
can I specify somehow exception for literal ID’s that should be treated as “non-spam” (if the members would be numerical I just add them to my known contacts).
I’m not sure what exact numbers are “hidden” behind the literals names (I have no possibility to check it. Let me know if I can do it somehow) but I assume that mobile carrier provider should differ them.
can you (somehow) initiate sending a message from QIWIWaller by yourself? If so, please, try to temporarily remove numbers from your group to see which one causes the issue.
I did not find easy way to turn off a number in a group (e.g. enable/disable an item. btw, it would make sense to have the feature :)) exept permanent deleting. But if I remove items I have no possibility to restore them later because amost of them have litteral ID’s and I cannot specify litteral ID as number in avast.
I tried to turn off the SMS flag in “Spam” group’s property (as I already wrote there is only one group in my SMS blocker). After it SMS’s from QIWIWallet get delivered.
I tried to turn off the group and then I got the Avast dialog “Incoming SMS from unknown number ‘QIWIWallet’. Would you like to Block/Allow it later?”. When I chose “Block” and specify “Spam” as a group. QIWIWallet was added to the group (I don’t know how you manage numbers inside a group and if duplicates are allowed there).
do you think you could wait for a bit? We will include some debug logs in the next version that should tell us why was the number blocked etc. This will hopefully solve the mystery
