I clicked on a post in FB that was supposed to show me a cat video but this is what I got instead (screenshot):
(see first attachment = ERRORmsg.jpg)
After that, I did CTRL-ALT-DEL & stopped the browser (Chrome) but it seems to have done odd things such as (1) made local Explorer end right after I had opened it (2) changed my email password – is that possible or did I just imagine it? In any case I had to login to FB first before I could login to Yahoo email. Sorry – this is confusing because my short term memory isn’t what it used to be. :frowning:

In any case, it appears to be more harmful than the previous pop-up which I seemed to get rid of easily by following online advice when I searched for the text from the pop-up messages. (See VIRUS3.jpg)

What do you advise re: computersecuritysupport247 ?

Those are ads generated by the webpages clear your history and they will go

THANK YOU! Strangely, that did the trick. Meanwhile, I wasn’t hallucinating, it really had done something weird about my login password for Yahoo email. Once I cleared the Chrome history, I was again able to login to Yahoo mail using the correct password.
